Reviews
Here are some things other people have said about my productions. No, I don’t judge my success or failure as an artist based on reviews. But sometimes it’s nice to know that others are receiving my work as I intended.

"Necessity and Realism Prevail Along with Enchantment..." at Broadway World
"It's not always possible for a reviewer to disentangle the directorial contribution from those of the performers and other creative spirits, but here (in part because of her program notes) it's possible to discern pretty clearly the hand of director Erin Bone Steele. This highly variegated show nonetheless reflects a single vision, and it is one, I think, well-honed to bring out the best of the play..."

"Theatre Review: Emilie at Silver Spring Stage" at MD Theatre Guide
"Director Erin Bone Steele has orchestrated a beautiful play that brings the elements of love, disappointment, passion and determination into a harmonious dance of wonder."

On the Razzle by Tom Stoppard

"On the Razzle at Silver Spring Stage" at DC Theatre Arts
https://dctheaterarts.org/2015/05/30/on-the-razzle-at-silver-spring-stage/
"On the Razzle demands a lot of intricate staging and Director Erin Bone Steele does an excellent job on this demanding two sided projecting stage. She keeps the action flowing so we never realize the shenanigans on stage are so absurd.... The production is a cross between Monty Python and The Marx Brothers. Steele understands that this is not a play with deep meaning stating, “This is a double-fudge comedy with a cherry on top.” The audience gets to enjoy the dessert. It all works masterfully under her leadership."
